TRAVEL INSURANCE OVERVIEW

Do you travel? We all do. Each one of us travels at some time or the other. The reasons for travel may be different but we do travel. It may be for leisure, vacation, work, business or some other reason. And we all want to travel safely and come back safely. We don’t want to incur any financial losses before or while traveling. There may be a last-minute cancellation of tickets due to unavoidable reasons, you may lose or misplace your luggage, or God forbid, there could be some medical issue during travel. The question is how do we secure our travel against any kind of financial loss. This is where Travel Insurance comes handy.

Travel insurance saves you from specified financial loss due to any of the above-mentioned reasons and many more. Travel Insurance, like other types of insurances, is an instrument that secures you from financial loss due to some specific reasons while you enjoy your travel. This is particularly beneficial when you are traveling to any international location as chances of getting into unpleasant situations are higher there.

WHY SHOULD YOU BUY INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE

International travel is always uncertain as you are in unknown territory and your chances of getting into some kind of tricky situation are higher as compared to domestic travel. You may encounter one or more of the following situations:

  • You or someone supposed to accompany you have to cancel their trip at the last moment due to some compelling reason
  • Your flight is cancelled
  • You miss your connecting flight
  • You lose your luggage
  • You lose your passport
  • You or someone else traveling with you may fall sick
  • Or there may be some unexpected turn of events like some natural calamity

If you purchase an International Travel Insurance before leaving, you will travel free from bothering about any of these events. You can then enjoy your travel to the fullest or attend your business without any worry.
