Undavalli caves are located in Undavalli village near to Prakasam Barrage on the Krishna River. These are monolithic rock-cut caves carved during 5th to 6th centuries. This is a four-storey rock-cut complex. The top floor contains incomplete 5-metre long of reclining Buddha statue. After Madhav Varma second ordered Lord Vishnu in a reclining posture on the second floor of the four-storeyed structures at Undavalli. Undavalli caves demonstrates how Buddhist structures were converted into Hindu vedic deities and temples.
